As a high-performance epoxy glass cloth laminate, G11 board is widely used in electronics, electrical and aerospace fields. Its excellent electrical insulation performance is one of its core advantages. In order to ensure the high-quality insulation of G11 board, comprehensive electrical performance testing must be carried out.

Importance of G11 board electrical performance test

Electrical performance test is a key step in evaluating the insulation quality of G11 board. Its main purposes include:

1. Ensure safety: Verify the insulation strength of G11 board in high voltage environment to prevent breakdown or leakage.

2. Improve reliability: Ensure that G11 board maintains stable electrical performance in long-term use through testing.

3. Meet standard requirements: Ensure that G11 board meets international and industry standards (such as IEC, UL, etc.).

4. Optimize design: Optimize material selection and structural design through test data to improve product performance.

Electrical Performance Test Methods

1. Resistance test:

By measuring the resistance value between different points on the G11 board, the connectivity and integrity of the wires are evaluated. Low resistance values usually indicate good conductivity, while high resistance values may mean problems such as open circuits or poor contact. Precise measurements can be made using equipment such as a multimeter.

2. Voltage drop test:

The test is an important means of evaluating the voltage loss between different areas on the G11 board. By measuring the voltage change of the signal during transmission, the conductivity efficiency and stability of the circuit board can be determined. Excessive voltage drop may mean that the wire resistance is too large or there is poor contact, which requires further optimization of the design or production process.

3. Insulation resistance test:

The test is used to detect the insulation performance between the layers of the G11 board and between the wire and the ground. Good insulation performance is the key to preventing leakage and short circuit. By applying a certain voltage and measuring the leakage current, the insulation resistance value can be calculated to evaluate whether the insulation performance meets the standard. The insulation resistance of the test equipment or line must be tested using a megohmmeter (shake meter), not a multimeter.

4. Capacitance test:

The test is used to detect short circuits on the G11 board. By charging a specific network and then measuring the inductive capacity, it is possible to determine whether there is a short circuit. A short circuit will cause the capacitance value to increase abnormally. By comparing the standard value, the problem area can be quickly located.

Test result analysis and improvement

1. Data analysis:

Compare the test results with the standard values to determine whether they are qualified. Analyze the unqualified items and find out the reasons (such as material defects, process problems, etc.).

2. Improvement measures:

·Optimize material formula to improve insulation performance.

·Improve production process to reduce defects.

·Strengthen quality control to ensure the consistency of each batch of products.

Precautions and safety assurance

· Safety protection measures should be set up at the test site to ensure the safety of test personnel.

·Test equipment should be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure stable equipment performance.

· During the test, it is strictly forbidden to touch the live parts to prevent accidents.

·After the test, the test equipment should be properly stored to ensure the next test goes smoothly.
