The difference between G7 sheet and G11 sheet
What is G7 sheet?
G7 sheets are mainly made of treated alkali-free glass fiber cloth impregnated with a specific silicone resin, and then baked and dried and hot-pressed. This manufacturing process ensures that the material has excellent physical, electrical and mechanical properties. G7 sheets are widely used in the insulation parts of electrical and electronic equipment because of its excellent performance, such as the groove wedge pad in the motor, electrical equipment, insulating structural parts and so on.
What is G11 sheet?
G11 sheet is a hard cardboard-like insulating material made of imported electronic-grade alkali-free fiber glass cloth impregnated with imported epoxy resin, and added with corresponding imported flame retardants, adhesives, and other additives and processed by hot pressing. This material has high heat resistance, mechanical performance, and dielectric properties. G11 sheet is widely used in insulation components in motors, electrical equipment, as well as in aircraft, high-speed trains, transformer insulation boards, etc. It can also be used in humid environments and transformer oil, and is suitable for high-voltage switchgear, high-voltage switches, and other occasions.
The difference between G7 sheet and G11 sheet
G7 sheet and G11 sheet are both insulation materials and the most obvious difference is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Performance characteristics
G7 sheet: G7 sheet has high heat resistance, flame retardant, leakage resistance, as well as good arc resistance, dielectric strength and voltage resistance. In addition, it also has a low water absorption and stable size. It is suitable for applications with high mechanical strength and electrical properties.
G11 sheet: The G11 sheet is particularly outstanding in terms of electrical performance. It has high insulation resistance, low dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor. And it is an ideal choice for electrical insulation parts. At the same time, the G11 sheet also has high density, tensile strength and bending strength, and it can withstand large tensile and bending loads. In addition, the G11 sheet also has good heat resistance and flame retardant properties, which can maintain stable performance in high temperature and flame environment.
2. Application field
G7 sheet: G7 sheet is mainly used in various insulation partitions of high, medium and low voltage switchgear, as well as occasions requiring high mechanical strength and electrical performance.
G11 sheet: The application field of G11 sheet is more extensive. It is not only suitable for power equipment (such as high voltage switchgear, insulation gasket, insulation partition, etc.), but also widely used in aerospace, electronic communications and other fields. Especially in the manufacture of components such as high-frequency circuit boards and antenna support structures, G11 sheets provide stable electrical characteristics and mechanical strength.
3. Appearance and specifications
While G7 sheets and G11 sheets may vary in appearance and specifications by manufacturer and purpose, G11 sheets offer more options in terms of color and specifications. The G11 sheet is available in white, yellow, aqua, black and other colors, while the specifications are also more diverse, including a variety of whole board sizes and thickness ranges.
