Application of DDP in electrical industry
DDP is a kind of insulation material which is coated with modified special epoxy insulating resin in diamond pattern on electrical insulating paper. This material is non-adhesive and dry at room temperature (below 35℃), and has excellent insulation properties and stability.
Types of DDP
DDP can be divided into many types according to specific application scenarios and performance requirements. The following are several common DDP insulation materials:
DDP diamond dot paper: This is an insulation material with modified special epoxy insulating resin coated in a diamond shape on both sides of the electrical insulating paper. The resin coating of the diamond dot paper is in the shape of dots, which is conducive to the immersion of oil and the discharge of gas in the insulation material, effectively avoiding corona and partial discharge, and ensuring the safety and reliability of the insulation structure.
DDP insulation film: This material has extremely thin thickness and excellent electrical properties, and is often used as the insulation layer of high-voltage electrical equipment.

Since the resin coating of the diamond dot paper is in the shape of dots, it is conducive to the immersion of oil and the discharge of gas in the insulation material, effectively avoiding corona and partial discharge, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the transformer.
Cable shielding isolation layer: DDP can be used as a shielding isolation layer for cables to effectively prevent electromagnetic interference and signal leakage and improve the transmission performance of cables.
