What are the safety considerations in installation of an oil immersed power transformer?
The oil-immersed transformer is one of the most important equipment in the current power system. It undertakes the functions of voltage conversion, power distribution and transmission, and is an extremely critical link in the power transmission and transformation system. To a certain extent, the quality of the oil-immersed transformer is directly related to the safe operation of the entire power system. Therefore, ensuring the safe and normal operation of the oil-immersed transformer is an extremely urgent task.
Next, lets take a look at the safety precautions for the installation of oil-immersed transformers:
1. Choose a suitable installation location: The transformer should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated place without corrosive gases and flammable and explosive items. Make sure that the transformer is at a sufficient distance from surrounding objects for easy maintenance and heat dissipation. According to the size and weight of the transformer, choose a ground or foundation that can bear its weight and ensure that the ground is flat.
2. Check equipment and tools: Before installation, check whether the transformer and its accessories are intact and ensure that the equipment meets the design requirements. At the same time, prepare the required installation tools, such as lifting equipment, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
3. Environment requirements: The installation environment should avoid adverse environments such as high temperature, humidity, and dust to prevent adverse effects on the transformer.
4. Equipment placement and connection: Use lifting equipment to hoist the transformer to the predetermined position to ensure that the transformer is placed stably. When connecting the incoming and outgoing lines, ensure that the connection is firm and reliable to prevent loosening or short circuit.
5. Accessory installation: When installing the transformer's oil level gauge, thermometer, respirator and other accessories, ensure that the accessories are installed correctly and function normally. Pay special attention to checking the connectivity between the respirator and the oil storage cabinet, as well as the dryness of the silica gel.
6. Oil filling and inspection: Inject an appropriate amount of transformer oil according to the requirements of the transformer manual. During the oil filling process, pay attention to preventing oil leakage and impurities from entering. After oil filling, exhaust the air to ensure that there are no bubbles inside the transformer. After the installation is completed, conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure that all parts are installed correctly and the connections are tight.
7. Safety operating procedures: During the installation process, strictly abide by the safety operating procedures to ensure personal and equipment safety. Follow the requirements of the transformer manual and do not arbitrarily change or ignore the relevant regulations.
8. Fire prevention and explosion prevention measures: For oil-immersed transformers with an oil volume of more than 2500kg, the fire protection distance should not be less than 5m. When the fire protection distance between two adjacent oil-immersed transformers does not meet the requirements, a fireproof partition wall or fireproof water curtain should be installed. For oil-immersed transformers with an oil volume of more than 1000Kg, an oil storage pit and a public oil collection pool should be set up, and transformer pebbles should be placed for fire prevention and oil unloading.
Fire prevention facilities such as fire extinguishers and fire hydrants should be installed in the transformer room. Regularly check the ventilation of the transformer room to ensure that it is well ventilated. Set up explosion-proof walls or explosion-proof doors around the transformer to prevent casualties and property losses when the transformer explodes.
Safety precautions when installing oil-immersed transformers cover many aspects. Only by fully understanding and complying with these safety precautions can we ensure the safety and efficiency of the transformer installation process, as well as the safety and reliability of the transformer operation.
